FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Lotus Center for Therapy & Mediation is an "Out-of-Network" (OON) Provider for Psychotherapy Services for all major insurance companies.. Your OON benefits allow you to seek health care from any qualified, licensed provider without the restrictions of using an in-network provider. Clients pay for therapy at time of service, and with receipts I provide, submit the required form to your insurance company for reimbursement to you  after meeting your respective deductible.. If you’ve never used out-of-network benefits to pay for therapy, please contact your insurance company and ask how much they reimburse for outpatient psychotherapy if the provider is out-of-network. 

How can I pay for services?

In order to make paying for therapy more convenient I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, as well as cash, checks and Health Savings Account (HSA).. 

What if I have a Health Savings Account (HSA) account with my employer?

You may use your HSA checks and/or debit (Visa/MC) card as immediate payment. Or the receipts I give you can also be submitted to your HSA plan for direct reimbursement to you. Either way, using your employee HSA account is a great way to obtain the therapy you want, with a therapist of your own choice, with dollars you have set aside pre-tax. If you are offered an HSA option as part of a benefits package, I encourage you to take part! 

Can I choose not to use insurance to cover my therapy?

Many clients also choose to pay for their therapy personally. Private paying clients choose not to involve insurance companies in their mental health care, They are willing to take the time to consciously seek out a therapist, someone they know to be experienced, effective, and who shares their own personal or spiritual values. Health care policies change rapidly. As policy deductibles have skyrocketed, some clients find that paying for therapy themselves is more simplistic and personal process to manage while giving them complete control over how their information is shared with third parties. 

The Lotus Center for Therapy & Mediation is committed to providing all clients with the highest level of privacy, quality care and personal service possible. Because I don't have contracts with insurance companies, your personal information shared in session will never leave my possession without your expressed, written permission. As an independent private practice, The Lotus Center can better devote time to clients and their care. I trust you will notice the difference. 

 

Standard psychotherapy fees:

Initial diagnostic assessment: $160 (75 minutes in length)

Individual session: $120 (45 minutes in length)

Family Session: $130 (45 minutes in length)

Supervision for Social Work Independent Licensure (KY & OH):

Individual: $120 per hour

Domestic Mediation Services are not covered by insurance, but are much more cost effective than court disputation.

Fee: $100 per hour, per person
